Beyond US Made, we’re Northwest by Nature
At its core, Swift Industries is a bicycle bag company in Seattle, Washington. All of our products are designed and manufactured from a beautiful industrial workplace in the heart of Seattle. We love bicycles, chase adventure, and have deep admiration for high quality craftsmanship.
We figure that the best way to make the bags we dream about is to chase the open road. As gear makers, an ulterior motive lies in each adventure we head out on: it’s a quest to make better and better bicycle bags.
Wanderlust influences more than the durability and function of our designs. The whole big picture at Swift Industries is shaped by our experiences on the open road.
On a tour down the Pacific Coast ten years ago, we drafted what we thought was our traveller’s edict and has turned out to be the tenets of our working philosophy.

INNOVATION, SPIRIT, AND CRAFTSMANSHIP FOR THE SPORTS WE LOVE.
DeFeet Has Done It Differently Since Day One.
At the age of four, Shane Cooper arrived in the United States from England. His father distributed knitting machines. In the late 1960's, there was a lot of knitting happening in the Eastern United States. Shane grew up around knitting machines, but he was always more interested in bicycles and music. It wasn't until the early 1990's that Shane decided to turn his attention entirely toward knitting. He embarked on an entirely new way to knit socks. He found it, and he was able to create sock designs the world had never seen.
DeFeet was born in 1992. The first product was a totally customizable, open mesh weave airflow sock. The world's top endurance athletes took notice immediately. The characteristics of those early designs are evident throughout the DeFeet line, today. Elegant, simple, useful and built to last.
There is less knitting, less manufacturing altogether, in the USA now than when Shane's father emigrated. DeFeet will not be joining the outsourcing movement that has become altogether too easy for companies in the United States. To us, that move is like paying someone else to play your music for you. DeFeet is the band, and we will play our own music, thank you. No one else can make our stuff better than we can. Harvard MBA's have told us it's not smart to build a business the way we have. They tell us we can profit more without getting our hands dirty with manufacturing. They say we should source cheap product and mark it up dramatically. That's ok. They can join the long list of brands that do it their way. To us, that would be a hollow existence.
Most of all, we are appreciative of our customers. Retailers and consumers that care as much as we do. We celebrate those that recognize companies like DeFeet. Organizations that go the extra thousand miles or so to stay in the USA and build things. Companies that attract employees with useful skillsets who want to put them to use and always improve.
We salute you. You are the ones operating at a higher level. You have shown us that our products will find their place in the hands of those who recognize the highest standards and always strive for the best.
At Rene Herse Cycles, we are at the leading edge of the trend toward allroad bikes. In fact, we coined the term ‘Allroad Bike’ in 2007 to describe the machines we have been riding for over a decade. Our research, published in our sister magazine Bicycle Quarterly, has led to the wide, high-performance tires that have revolutionized the bike industry.
Rene Herse Cycles was reborn in the Cascade Mountains out of a passion for spirited cycling. During our rides, we cover long distances at a spirited pace. We ride in any weather – even at night. We like the independence of going unsupported. And we make the components that we need for these rides.
Rene Herse components are designed to perform under the most challenging conditions, so you can focus on enjoying your ride. Our components are made to the highest quality standards, so you can rely on them when cresting remote mountain passes in the middle of the night. With our components, you can enjoy rides that otherwise would be impossible.

Industry Nine is a small company where 8 people make everything you see. Clint, Jeff, Jacob, Jake, Keith, Ricky, Drew, and Chris. That's it. We are a diverse group with diverse job descriptions. We all wear many different hats here. Marketing, anodizing, and wheel truing might all be in one day's work -and usually is-.
One "hat" we've all worn is that of a wheel builder. Everyone here has earned their position by building many wheels. Some people have earned that and then someÉ(Sorry Keith!). What youÕre left with is a family of veteran bike mechanics, and with years of experience who all have spoke wrench calluses and an intimate product knowledge to boot.
A passion for bikes is the one thing we all carry in our job description, and always will. We hope you will see the passion and craft evident in every wheel we make. These wheels are lovingly handmade, by the eight of us. Enjoy!

AS A COMPANY, WE LAND SOMEWHERE BETWEEN FAST AND FUN. OUR GEAR IS USED FROM AVERAGE JOES TO PROS WITHOUT COMPROMISE. OF COURSE, IT ALL STARTED WHEN WE REACHED FOR A POST RIDE BEER AND IT SLIPPED RIGHT THROUGH OUR HANDS… FOR US THE CAMARADERIE AND POST ACTIVITY HANGOUT, IS AS EQUALLY IMPORTANT AS THE ACTIVITY ITSELF. WE INVITE YOU TO TRY A SET, GRAB ON TO YOUR HANDLEBARS, CLUBS, OR A COLD ONE, AND JUST ENJOY…
YOU MAKE US DO IT
You, doing things that most people wouldn’t even consider. Drawing a line that’s rarely inbounds. Descending at speeds that would give your underwriter pause. Pushing yourself in ways nature and gravity never intended. As long as you’re relentlessly pushing forward, we will too. When you stop, that’s when we’ll stop. We’re obsessing over your passion. Destroying more helmets in testing and development than some brands even create. We’re agonizing over vent sizes and inseam lengths. Pouring our years, our hearts, our sweat, into one insole, one goggle, one helmet at a time. Plainly said, being there when you need us most.
KEEP STRIVING FOR FURTHER, FASTER AND BETTER. WE’LL KEEP MAKING THE GEAR THAT GETS YOU THERE.
We love to ride and we love a challenge! We like that feeling of being completely spent after an effort that could have been voiced over by Bob Roll. We have our favorite items we grab in our closet after we clean off the road grime tan, and we wanted to make more of these items for everyone. We believe that any of our tees will be worth the extra money you paid for a shirt you'll want to wear again and again....that's what premium means to us. We know about the thread count, craftsmanship and color palettes but what really matters is that you love the fit and feel.
At Handlebar Mustache we share a passion for these things. We love bicycles. We hate cancer. We believe it is our moral obligation to help others. We love life. We are either all in or all out. We have to bring passion to what we do or we won't do it more than once. We bring our travels, experiences and our passion to the drawing board when we design each one of our tees.
THE HISTORY OF MOUNTAIN BIKING IS SPATTERED WITH INGENUITY AND LATHERED IN INNOVATION. FROM THE PEAKS OF MARIN TO THE SLICKROCK TRAIL OF MOAB, THE THREADS THAT MAKE UP THIS INDELIBLE TAPESTRY OF…
You know what? Enough. It’s all been said before. Written, celebrated, evangelized. Mt. Tam, Repack, Klunkers, blah blah blah.
HERE’S THE TRUTH ABOUT OUR ORIGINS.
We were getting bored, so we made things interesting. What we wanted didn’t exist, so we created it. Once it did exist, it was never good enough. So we kept making it better, and better, and better. Ever since we first started riding sketchy, ill-equipped cruisers down Mt. Tam back in ‘82, we’ve built things better because life is better with bikes. We believe better bikes make for an even better life, so we’ve continued to make components that improve every aspect of the riding experience.

A wide range of better hand and body positions ensure more power, comfort and control. 45 degrees of sweep puts your wrists in a natural and relaxed position for lasting comfort.
